MAS provides professional tree assessment and reporting services to a range of residential and commercial clients.
Council planning application reports
Regardless of the size of your proposed property development, most councils now require a detailed tree report prepared in line with AS4970-2009, Australian Standard – Protection of trees on development sites.
Tree surveying and inventories
Where many trees and present (e.g. an Avenue of Honour for those lost at war). In order to manage the trees they need to quantified, mapped and assessed to determine appropriate actions and associated costings.
Tree pruning andremoval permit reports
Most Councils require a permit to prune or remove a tree. Often people submit an Arborists report (stating why tree removal is warranted) with an application to remove it, or an Arborists report to justify pruning the tree.
Arborist reports provide information about the overall health and condition of a tree to determine whether it’s a potential hazard to surrounding properties or people and will provide viable solutions to help manage or rectify any issues or problems, and recommendations for appropriate management actions for the tree/s assessed.
Tree Protection Management Plans provide initial report provision and ongoing tree management and reporting through the construction process.
Root management and damage claim reports
Assessment and reporting on the actual and or likely impacts of tree roots on surrounding structures, and methods to limit such impacts.
Property pre-purchase tree inspections
Assessment and report provision regarding the trees on a given property, details of the legislation (or lack thereof) regarding their retention, pruning or removal. Limitations to site development due to vegetation.
Provision of expert witness statements and appearance at Victorian Civil Administrational Tribunal (VCAT) and in the Courts.
